Tenant Protection At Foreclosure
If your landlords property is in the foreclosure process and you are living there, it can be a difficult and confusing time. Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure (PTFA) was created with the goal to assist renters in these unfortunate circumstances. Under this rules and regulations, valid lessee’s are permitted to stay in the residence until the end of their lease term. If the lease is a month-to-month lease, tenants must be provided with at least ninety days of notice before the termination of their lease. It appears that most renters are protected by PFTA, but there may be stronger state or local laws that provide you with additional rights. If you have any questions about your rights or if you need assistance, please fill out the contact form below and a professional will reach out to you shortly.
