Third party vendor ServiceLink Short Sale

Third party vendors are brought on board by mortgage servicers at times for assistance with servicing loans and collections efforts. ServiceLink has primarily been a third party vendor for IndyMac who is also known as One West Bank for quite a few years. As of April 2012 ServiceLink became another one of the 3rd party vendors that Bank Of America uses to process CO-OP short sales and as of November 2012 they began processing short sales with offers too for them. This may prove helpful as a ServiceLink Short Sale is a relatively streamlined process and they have years of experience processing a large volume of loans for IndyMac. This is just another move for Bank Of America as they continue to service release loans and ease their way out of the mortgage servicing industry.

When facilitating a ServiceLink short sale they follow strict guidelines for the servicer. At times you need to circumvent the vendor and go straight to the main servicer or investor to get more flexibility in sensitive situations.
