HomePath Fannie Mae Assistance

Fannie Mae (FNMA) has introduced an extension HomePath for Short Sales tool to assist with FNMA short sale challenges. This tool was created to assist in the short sale escalation process dealing with loans with FNMA as the investor. You can escalate the file via HomePath here. Ensure when you submit a case that you have or are working on obtaining the Fannie Mae authorization signed by the borrowers. Without this form the Fannie Mae representatives will be unable to assist you and proceed with reviewing your case. Within the next few business of completing the HomePath Form a Fannie Mae representative will contact you to engage in assisting with challenges such as, delays by mortgage servicers, valuation disputes, or other escalated issues. This is a newly released escalation process and so far it seems to be fairly helpful. This is just one additional tool for your tool belt when issues need resolution.
