The holidays mean slower than normal processing time frames in the world of facilitating short sales. Freddie Mac is a Government Sponsored Enterprise and is one of the largest investors. Freddie Mac has some of the strictest guidelines and longer investor review periods. Do not be surprised on November 26th, 27th, and 28th, when you do not hear from Freddie Mac as they will be closed. This means delayed approval letters, extensions, and communication on a large volume of loans.
