Carrington Mortgage Services can be a tough lender to work with and they have strict servicing guidelines. Carrington Mortgage Services has a few guidelines that you should be knowledgeable of prior to moving forward with a short sale. Three main guidelines that stand out above the rest are the following:
- They do not participate in the HAFA program, but they may still allow a relocation incentive to the borrowers.
- Carrington Mortgage does not postpone foreclosure sale dates to our understanding and we have yet to hear of it ever being done unless there is an extremely special circumstance.
- 5% commission for 2 agents involved or 4% commission with 1 agent involved, 6% for offer’s under $100,000 for any number of agents involved.
