Are Short Sales Coming Back?

 We are always asked if we are still seeing short sales or if there is an uptick in short sales. These type of transactions have never gone away and will always be around due to borrowers falling into hardship, over leveraging, or when a market enters a downturn. Lately there has been concerns we are entering or already  in an recessions and people are swearing they are seeing an uptick of foreclosures and short sale.

We seem to be having a slight increase from what we can see, but it’s hard to tell for sure. We anticipate within the next year or so things will become more clear.
